Electrical Engineer

    All of our vehicles are designed and manufactured in line with relevant British Standards, and we take health and safety extremely seriously across every stage of production.

    We are looking for an Electrical Engineer to take ownership of our low voltage systems, working primarily with 12V and 24V installations across our vehicles. Experience with 230V systems is beneficial but not essential.

    ​

    This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys both design and practical installation work. You will play a key part in improving our electrical standards, developing new systems and ensuring every vehicle meets a consistent, high level of quality.

  • Full time, permanent position
    Monday to Thursday, 40 hours per week
    Working hours 07:00 to 17:30 with a 30 minute lunch break
    Plenty of overtime available at an additional rate
    Salary dependent on experience, typically in the region of £40,000 to £45,000 per year

    • Design and develop 12V and 24V electrical systems

    • Produce clear wiring diagrams, schematics and documentation

    • Install, program and commission electrical systems

    • Diagnose faults and carry out testing, troubleshooting and quality checks

    • Work closely with the other departments to ensure efficient and tidy installations

    • Select and specify components with a focus on reliability and ease of use

    • Improve and standardise existing electrical systems and processes

    • Support product development and new features across future models

    • Ensure all work is carried out safely and in line with relevant standards and internal procedures

    •  Strong understanding of low voltage electrical systems, ideally 12V and 24V

    • Experience in automotive, marine or off-grid electrical systems

    • Experience in wiring, installation and fault finding

    • Ability to read and produce wiring diagrams

    • Practical, hands-on approach with good attention to detail

    • Problem solving mindset and ability to work independently

    • Good organisation and communication skills

    • ​

    Desirable but not essential 

    • Experience with 230V systems

    • Familiarity with lithium battery systems and solar integration

    • Someone who takes pride in their work and cares about quality
