FAQ's

Got a question? Below are some of our most frequently asked questions. If you have another question please get in touch through our contact page and one of our team members will be in touch.

  • Our builds typically take around 8 to 10 weeks to complete. Every Crozier Camper is crafted with care and precision, and we never compromise on quality to save time. At the end of every build, we carry out a dedicated week of testing to ensure everything performs exactly as it should. If anything doesn’t meet our standards, it’s rectified or replaced immediately.

Our focus is on delivering a vehicle that’s perfectly finished and ready for its new owner, not on rushing it out the door.

  • We are proud to be partnered with Mercedes-Benz and work exclusively with the Sprinter chassis across all lengths: Medium, Long, and Extra-Long Wheelbase. After years of experience building on a range of manufacturer platforms, we chose to focus solely on Mercedes-Benz because it perfectly complements Crozier’s vision for a luxury, precision-engineered product that’s built to last.

The Sprinter’s outstanding build quality and reliability make it the ideal foundation for our craftsmanship. We offer both Rear-Wheel Drive (RWD) and All-Wheel Drive (AWD) options, giving you the freedom to choose the setup that best suits your lifestyle and adventures.

  • All vehicles are supplied directly by Crozier. We work with both new and used Mercedes-Benz Sprinter chassis, but we are highly selective about every base vehicle as it plays a crucial role in build quality, performance, and overall cost.

For new vehicles, we supply the van to our own "Crozier Spec", a specification refined over years to create the ideal foundation for our builds. If you prefer a used option, we source a Mercedes-Benz Approved Used vehicle, typically one to two years old and with fewer than 50,000 miles. This ensures it meets Mercedes-Benz’s strict standards and provides the perfect platform for a Crozier build.

  • Yes, we do. However, if the build is based on a left-hand drive vehicle, the customer will need to supply the van. We are unable to order or register left-hand drive chassis in the UK, so the purchase and registration must be completed by the owner in their country, in accordance with local regulations.

  • Yes, we can. We regularly work with customers from around the world, but every country has its own specific requirements and regulations. Please contact us directly with your location details, and we will provide accurate guidance on export options, compliance, and delivery for your region.

  • This depends on when you obtained your standard car licence (Category B). If you passed your test before 1st January 1997, you are automatically entitled to drive vehicles up to 7.5 tonnes MAM (Maximum Authorised Mass). If you passed after this date, your licence covers vehicles up to 3.5 tonnes MAM, meaning you would need to obtain a C1 licence to drive anything heavier.

The final weight of your vehicle depends on the base chassis, model, and chosen specification, and most of our high-end builds exceed 3.5 tonnes. If you need to complete your C1 licence, we can guide you towards a reputable local driving school. The process usually takes a 2 to 4 day training course, followed by a test, with an average cost of around £900.

  • Yes, all our builds are fully off-grid. We have extensive experience and real-world data from customers who have lived and travelled full-time across the world. Our background is rooted in long-term travel and exploring remote locations, and that knowledge has been refined over the years to create the ultimate self-sufficient vehicle. Every Crozier Camper is engineered to perform reliably and comfortably, no matter how far off the beaten path you go.

  • Yes, absolutely. Our vehicles are designed to perform in all climates and have been tested in some of the harshest winter conditions, including trips across Scandinavia. Every Crozier Camper includes heated water tanks as standard, and we offer a range of winter upgrades such as engine pre-heat modules, underfloor heating, and heat exchangers for efficient passive heating. Whether you are skiing in the Alps or exploring the Highlands, your camper will keep you warm and comfortable throughout your journey.

  • Yes, they are. We have extensive first-hand experience travelling across Europe in our own vehicles, as well as valuable feedback from customers who live and journey full-time on the continent. Our campers are designed with European travel in mind, offering comfort, efficiency, and reliability on long journeys. We are also happy to provide guidance and advice on routes, expeditions, and extended travel to help you make the most of your adventures.

  • Yes, we do. Every Crozier Camper comes with a minimum 12-month warranty, with options to extend coverage on the labour aspect of the build. Individual components are covered by warranties ranging from 1 to 5 years, depending on the manufacturer. We take great pride in our after sales care, warranty support, and servicing, ensuring that every customer continues to receive the same attention to detail and quality long after delivery.

  • Absolutely, yes. We actively encourage customers to visit our factory, as it’s one of the best ways to experience what makes Crozier Campers special. During your visit, you can meet the team, see our craftsmanship up close, and get a real feel for the quality of our work.
